2019/2020: Niger State Schools Resumption Date
Niger State Public and Private Primary and Secondary Schools First (1st), Second [2nd], Third (3rd) Term Resumption Date for 2019/2020 Academic Session.
The Niger State Government has announced Monday 5th October, 2020as the official resumption date for third (3rd) term academic activities for 2019/2020 academic session
The above resumption date is for both public and private primary and secondary schools students for the completion of third term academic activities for 2019/2020 session.
Niger State 2020/2021 academic session will commence on January 3rd, 2021.
The decision to reopen schools was a result of a series of meetings with stakeholders and State Commissioners for Education, where resolutions were adopted.
All teachers are to return to their respective schools from September 29th, 2020 to commence preparations for the reopening of schools.
The Resumption of schools will be with exception to public boarding schools, where only SS2 will resume on the same day using the platooning model.
All JSS1 and JSS2 are to attend morning classes while SS1 and SS2 will attend evening classes,.
Pupils of primaries one to three in public schools will attend morning classes, while pupils in primary four to six will attend evening classes.
All senior and junior secondary schools as well as private primary schools are to open and operate in line with COVID-19 protocol.
All Tsangaya, Quranic Islamiyya, and faith-based schools will also open and operate in line with COVID-19 protocol.
